Timebox Planning
When everything is P0, nothing is. Pick outcomes, timebox deep work, batch comms, and make cuts explicit.
Workflow
- List commitments; mark hard deadlines vs wishes.
- Energy and calendar constraints (meetings, on-call).
- Choose 1–3 outcomes for the day/week.
- Place deep-work blocks first; batch Slack/email.
- Timebox risky unknowns; define done for each block.
- Overflow list / explicit not-doing.
- End-of-day review: move, cut, or renegotiate.
Output format
## Plan — <day/week>
**Outcomes:** …
### Schedule blocks
### Meetings strategy
### Not doing
### Risks
Rules
- Do not plan 100% utilization.
- Renegotiate rather than silent miss.
- Multitasking theater is not a plan.
- Protect recovery if burnout signals appear.
- Manager overload: escalate portfolio cuts.
Edge cases
- On-call weeks: thinner plan, thicker buffer.
- Makers vs managers: different fragmentation.
- ADHD/context switch cost: fewer concurrent WIPs.
